Lumecca technology delivers specific wavelengths of intense pulsed light directly into the skin. Targeted pigments absorb this light, which destroys them. The process also stimulates collagen production, helping to rejuvenate and repair the skin to address concerns such as ageing, sun damage and acne scarring.

Lumecca IPL uses intense pulsed light to interact with red and brown pigments in the skin (melanin and haemoglobin). These pigments absorb the light energy and are destroyed.

Hyperpigmentation patches are fragmented and absorbed into the blood stream, and thread veins are blasted almost instantaneously. Lumecca is highly effective at treating the pigmentation and redness created by sun damage.

The treatment delivers fast, effective results, after just one or two sessions.

You will normally begin to see visible results after a few days. Brown spots typically appear darker immediately after treatment. These then flake off over the coming days, leaving fresher, clearer skin underneath.

If you are being treated for vascular lesions, you may see some improvements straight away with a final outcome after two weeks.

You may require repeat treatments until you have achieved your desired result. Your practitioner will advise you on what to expect prior to treatment in your initial consultation.
